Description

  • Quickly clean kegs and fermenters while you tend to other tasks
  • High flow rate pump provides a powerful blast that coats the inside of the vessel
  • Use it for cleaning or sanitizing with your favorite solutions
  • 15L bucket provides a much larger reservoir compared to other models
  • Everything included in the system neatly fits inside the bucket for easy storage

The Bucket Blaster is a convenient and effective system for cleaning and sanitizing kegs, carboys, and other brewing vessels. The beauty of the Bucket Blaster is that you can set it and forget it. Simply set up the keg washer basin with your cleaner or sanitizer, set your vessel over the jet nozzle, power up the pump and let the Bucket Blaster do the work while you tend to other tasks. Perfect for homebrew kegs, carboys, FermZillas, or bucket fermenters.

This unit comes with a 15L (3.9 gal) bucket, which doubles as a storage container when you are not using the system. Other keg washers come with a very small reservoir that make it a pain to move, as liquid spills over the sides easily and generally they just do not work as well. The Bucket Blaster's large 15L reservoir makes it much less likely for you to spill liquid on the floor, and since it can hold more cleaning solution, each cleaning cycle will be that much more effective.

Includes:

  • Submersible Pump - 2,000 L/hr
  • 15L Bucket
  • Powerful Jet Nozzle
  • 9.5 mm EVABarrier Tubing
  • Gray and Black Ball Lock Disconnects
  • Duotight fittings for all connections

Kegland Part Number: KL15905

What is the pumps max operating temperature? How hot can my cleaning solution be?
Kevin Frantz on Aug 5, 2020
BEST ANSWER: I don't know what temperature the pump is rated for, but I've been using 150 degree solution with no Ill affect.
Will a 1/2” NPT fitting work on the spray end of this?
William Haumann on Aug 21, 2020
BEST ANSWER: Yes. I just received this and the CIP ball I had purchased fits directly on the end of the threaded tube (long nipple). Since that's PVC and the CIP fitting is stainless, I'm not sure if I'll apply any pipe tape to it. I'll do a test run in the next day or so. Since I'll be using it to clean out some sanke keg fermenters to use on Saturday.
Do the pumps in the Bucket Blaster have a warranty? I bought two, one in April and another one in May, so I could have one for cleaner and one for sanitizer. One pump has already failed. When they are working, they are great for cleaning and sanitizing both kegs and carboys.
C Stewart on Nov 3, 2021
BEST ANSWER: These pumps are covered by our standard 1 year wear and tear warranty. Please visit our webpage, scroll to the bottom, and click the "Return an Item" link. Our customer service team will be happy to work with you to sort it out. Cheers!
Can this be changed to PIN keg fittings?
Cory Barrow on Aug 5, 2020
BEST ANSWER: Yes it can! All you need is the plastic Pinlock QDs and it will setup exactly the same way.
Could someone recommend the fittings to be able to clean a kegerator lines?
Dmytro Dobrovolskyi on Nov 22, 2021
BEST ANSWER: I am not sure if MoreBeer sells them, but you could get a ball lock to ball lock jumper for the lines and get a simple PVC 1/2" cap from a hardware store to block the center pipe.
Does this system work with KOMOS type curved top kegs?
Joe Keesling on Aug 9, 2020
BEST ANSWER: It's not nearly as steady without a ring around the top of the keg. With small kegs, I manage fine. With a 5-gallon keg, I think some sort of support is necessary. I have a convenient spot outside my garage where the brick walls form an inside corner where I can prop up my one troublesome keg.

I also prefer to use two buckets. A standard 5-gallon bucket for washing and a second for rinsing. That way, I can just lift out the frame, pump, and keg altogether and move them to the other bucket. A big labor savings when cleaning multiple kegs. Also, the PBW tends to foam, so the added capacity of the larger bucket helps contain it.
What is the diameter of the frame?
Branden Borden on Aug 18, 2020
BEST ANSWER: The metal frame is about 10 inches at widest point. The bucket is between 11 1/4 and 11 1/2 inches.
What material is the stand made of and is it foodsafe? What are the dimensions?
Christopher Pritchett on Nov 30, 2022
Will a single handle corny keg work with this product?
Andrew Rae on Feb 3, 2021
BEST ANSWER: It's definitely trickier with single handle kegs, but it can work. The stand is designed in such a way that with some effort, you can often find a way to sit the keg in a spot where the handle is mostly clear of the stand and the keg will sit on its own, but it's not ideal. But more commonly, I put the washer in a corner and that way, an ill-fitting keg can lean into the corner for support. The downside to
that is that since the water orifice is a single hole, the evenness of the spray coverage is somewhat dependent upon the keg being mostly vertical.
I see a previous post where it is explained that this could be converted from ball to pin lock fittings. Is it possible to equip this with MFL fittings as I have several of pin and several ball lock cornies?
Chris Davinroy on Nov 1, 2020
BEST ANSWER: I believe you can. You may need to supply a couple of barbed MFL fittings and the ball/pin lock fittings. The unit comes with the duo-type push on fittings that connect directly to the barbed ball lock fittings. There’s a collar that you can depress to release and replace with pin lock barbed fitting. I’m not sure how long the duo-type connector will last with repeated replacement. The barbed MFL fitting may be a better option.
What's the burst/temperature rating of the EVA barrier tubing? Thinking about using this with an upgraded pump
Matthew Reardon on Aug 7, 2021
BEST ANSWER: Enter Temperature range of -40 to 125° F
Use this size for gas line applications. Also used for long draw beer lines over 25'.
Technical Specifications: 5/16" line provides .40 lbs of restriction per foot. Ideally pounds of resistance should equal pounds of applied pressure. 5/16" line holds 1/2 of an ounce per foot. PVC Free an answer to this question.
can you provide 220v pump instead of 110v?
david Vepkhvadze on May 28, 2021
BEST ANSWER: We can only offer this kit in the 110v version at this time and cannot make any substitutions to the hardware included. We apologize for the inconvenience.
What's the temperature rating for the pump? Can I buy the set without the pump and use my riptide pump?
Timothy Chilcoat on Aug 13, 2020
BEST ANSWER: The kit is only sold as a complete set and the pump cannot be removed. The pump can be operated safely with fluid at 150 degrees fahrenheit or less indefinitely; momentary exposure to 190 degrees will not cause lasting damage, but continual operation at that temperature may.

Works When it Works
I would not buy this again.

It's a very cheap pond pump with a 1/2" pipe screwed into it, combined with a stainless wire frame and a bucket, plus some tubes and fittings. The pipe shoots liquid straight up at the keg bottom, and the tubes shoot liquid through the gas posts and tubes.

I used my pump a few times (maybe 5 kegs), and it died. I used it with warm water and a combination of sodium percarbonate and washing soda. Nothing harsh. It gave out. I have heard from others with the same problem, and Kegland does not have direct warranty service in the US.

These pumps cannot be repaired. They are sealed with epoxy.

The Bucket Blaster does not do a good job of keeping kegs vertical. They tend to lean, so the liquid shoots off to the side of the kegs. It is also too narrow for wide Megamouth Torpedo kegs to sit on without some risk of sliding off.

I generally got good results, but I had to wipe a yeast ring off the inside of a keg, which was what I bought the machine to do. The yeast was not dried on.

Well Blast my Bucket
This thing works like a charm. just two small things. Be careful when you screw the white pipe into the pump. The fitting on the pump cracked with just the slightest bit of torque. Since this ends up being under the water line it still works but I hope it lasts. Also its easy to king the hoses going to the kegs as its a bit of a tight space to fit the connections while balancing on the frame and fitting within the bucket. But man this thing really works. I dig it.

Blaster cleans carboys, kegs, and fermenters effortlessly!
I've typically simply soaked my carboys, kegs and fermenters in PBW overnight or longer to get them clean. I can't believe I waited so long and wasted so much money on PBW & Star San over the years!

This Keg Blaster/Washer is awesome! It cleaned my 7.9Gal Fast Fermenter effortlessly in only a few hours. I've never seen it so clean! I can see my reflection in the corny kegs they are so clean!

I highly recommend the Keg Blaster. It's not a "Nice to have..." its a "Need/Must have!"

Works good, but not perfectly
Bucket Blaster does a good job cleaning lightly soiled equipment like Corny kegs, but struggles with tougher jobs like fermenter crud rings. I put a 60 liter Fermzilla on it for a couple hours using PBW and it never got completely clean. It does a great job of sanitizing, but be sure to use a low-foam product like SaniClean or it'll make a mess. Despite the warts, it beats the heck out of doing things by hand and it saves time.

Bucket Blaster worked great
The Kegland Keg and Carboy Washer worked great for cleaning my 6.5-7.0 Gallon Glass Carboys. I don't have kegs. There was no problem with fitting the neck mounted carboy handles through the top of the rack. Since I don't have kegs I was able to simply screw the pipe directly into the pump without using the other fittings and hoses. While no instructions come in the box there are complete instructions in PDF format at the Kegland website.

Versatile
It saves on water and cleaning chemicals since you only need to mix up a few gallons to blast multiple kegs or fermentors. I have also found it to be very versatile and it gets used in all sorts of regular cleaning tasks. With the addition of a ball lock coupler and PVC cap I use it to clean the beer lines for my kegerator and jockey box. I also cut out a small piece of plywood so I can blast growlers.
Simple growler stand.
