Made in the USA from 304 stainless steel, the Brewbuilt AfterBurner is a very sturdy burner that will boil beer quickly and support the largest kettles with ease. Think you might someday get into all-grain brewing? The Brewbuilt Burner is designed to bolt together, via an optional connecting package, with additional BrewBuilt Burners to create your own all-stainless dream stand. Also availabe are optional handle and caster options which allow the single burner, or a connected brew stand, to be moved without straining your back.

Amazing features for the price
This is a beefy burner that will give you peace of mind while supporting up to 25 gallons of boiling wort. Made from 304 stainless steel it will last a lifetime. The wide-profile burner is strong and efficient, topping our ratings in getting wort to a quick boil, while using the same amount or less of propane. The stainless burner ring offers flame protection and includes a circular hole for lighting. The included 0-10PSI regulator offers good flame control. The height of 24" is perfect for draining directly into a carboy but is also the perfect height to not be bending over when you are adding hops or grain to a kettle. Plus it is kind of cool that the frame is cut and welded in the USA. Included directions will show you how to adjust the propane valve and air intake to achieve efficiency or speed. Adjusted for efficiency the Afterburner produces around 70,000 btu and in full AfterBurner mode it produces 100,000 btu.

Make Your Own Three Burner Brewing System
But perhaps the best part is how they are designed to bolt together to construct the ultimate stainless brew stand.  Order one now for extract brewing and as your hobby grows your single burner can be built into a three burner horizontal brewing stand.  Or just build a complete stainless brew stand now....for under $1000 you can have three burners, the connecting kits, a handle and casters delivered to your door!

Don't Have Much Room... They Stack!
Wait, there's more. Do you brew in a small space with very little room and don't have space to bolt together a stand? No worries, BrewBuilt burners are also designed to stack. A bit of a disappointment...
I have no complaints about the stands themselves, but the burners on all three of the stands I received left a lot to be desired. The holes in the casting that the orifice holders thread into were improperly threaded (too large) leaving the orifice holders and air shutters loose and unable to be properly tightened. On one burner, the threads in the casting were so badly oversized that I was able to pull the entire orifice and air shutter assembly out of the casting with a gentle wiggle. On another burner, the orifice itself hadn't been tightened in the orifice holder and had fallen out. I found it rattling around inside the burner. When I checked the other two burners, I found the orifices finger loose in their holders as well. Had I fired that burner with the missing orifice, the results could have been interesting to say the least...

I thought about returning them but having already received three defective burners, I had no reason to believe the replacements would be any better, plus I wanted to BREW, so I just repaired them myself. It's a shame that the quality of these burners is so poor, but I'm really not sure where you'd find any better ones. It seems most of them are coming from China now and their quality standards just aren't up to par with US standards. However, quality and safety are two different things. I wouldn't mind a few minor imperfections in the casting, but I certainly shouldn't have to be re-engineering the critical parts of a burner just to make it safe...

I don't know if everyone else has been receiving the same burners I did or what people are doing to them to make them safe but I'd certainly recommend a close examination of the entire orifice assembly before firing one of these 10" banjo burners, regardless of where it came from. If the orifice isn't threaded snugly in the holder, and the holder isn't threaded snugly into the burner casting, then the burner is dangerous and shouldn't be used until it's repaired.

Well built
Built quality and function of the burner is exactly what I was hoping for. However, a 10 gallon Blichmann pot will hardly even sit on the burner without having to be set dead perfect. The bars that are welded in are not long enough to reach out and securely hold the kettle. I think this is a certain design flaw without letting the customer know. These should be tested on the big 4 kettle makers during R&D.

Love it. Handles my 20 gal pot perfectly. It’s very quiet and heats up fast. Don’t bother with anything else

This is a very heavy-duty burner that is worth more than the price. It performs very well and gets my 26 gal pot boiling in no time. I have a few problems adjusting the flame well to get an efficient flame that won't blow back into the air intake, but I'm hoping to get better at it with practice

Strong build, but issues with lighting/staying lit
Love the strong build. I'm having weird issues with lighting it and the flame sometimes shoots back to the air vent making the grill holes go out. It can then also take really long to get it relit. This can be an issue on windy days. I recently bought a blow torch to replace my bbq lighter to see if that helps. Otherwise, functions well.

Overall I'm pleased with the product.
Burner wouldn't light properly...took a lot of tweeking the air adjustment...usually got it to work after many minutes of trying. Inside the burner housing would light, but the actual burner would not...until 10-15 minutes had passed.

Called Kevin in customer service and he thought it might be a faulty regulator. He sent one out and I installed it. It's worked properly ever since. Both modes work quite well now.

As an aside, I think the workmanship could have been better for the price. The legs are not spaced evenly, which makes it look a little odd...but if hooked up to others to provide a stand you'd probably never notice it. The top just barely holds my 8 gal boiler...it's diameter is just a bit larger than the opening, The 10 gal and 15 gal boilers fit just fine...
