Description

Upgrade your home brewery with an innovative, Stainless Steel, 7 Gallon Brew Bucket™ Fermenter!  You will enjoy many of the benefits of a stainless conical fermenter but at a fraction of the cost and you are going to love how easy it is to use!  Made by Ss Brewing Technologies from polished 304 Stainless Steel, the Brew Bucket™ fermentor is not only functional it is downright beautiful. At MoreBeer!  we know brewing equipment and we truly believe this is a piece of equipment you are going to enjoy using every brew day.

We inspected and used the Brew Bucket™ and one of the most unique features that stood out is that the Brew Bucket can be stacked during fermentation, even with an airlock attached. We also like the conical bottom that allows trub to settle out in a concentrated space that minimizes the surface area of the trub that is in contact with your beer.  The included Patent Pending Rotating Racking Valve is also a brilliantly simple design allowing you to rotate the racking arm inside the Brew Bucket down during fermentation to minimize trub, and later up to get clear beer when racking!   Etched Volume Markers on the inside were super handy when filling and display in both Liters and Gallons.

The build quality is really amazing for the price. Welds are clean. The lid is strong and the spring loaded lid hatches are solid.  The lid includes a removable, molded silicone gasket that ensures an airtight seal.  We love an airtight seal so that we can be sure to see the airlock working.  The welded on stainless handles make the BrewBucket fermentor super easy to move.

Overall: Very functional, easy-to-use, will last a lifetime, and looks amazing. Lets make some beer!

Comparing this item with those of competitors, I looked at the interior of the fermenter and it was polished, the bottom was more steeply angled and deeper and it seemed to be a complete package with the FTS temp stablilization system.

I started using 1 gallon glass jugs and after collecting enough and having to transfer using the siphoning method, I am hoping this will fix and eliminate siphoning and possible breakage.

What is the ID and OD of the hose barb (what size tubing do I need for transfers)?
Craig Zubris on Sep 10, 2018
BEST ANSWER: The O.D. of the barb on the racking valve is 5/16 ".
The I.D. is 1/4 ".
5/16" I. D. tubing is what you need.
Hi all! Can anyone tell me the outer diameter of the lid, the diameter with the lid removed and the diameter at the bottom, where the two cone shapes meet? Thanks!
Jose D on Jan 9, 2022
Are the handles solid enough that the fermenter can be lifted when full?
John C on May 28, 2024
BEST ANSWER: Yes. I have owned my brew bucket for several years and have had no problems so far. Roughly 15 - 20 batches so far.
How tall is this fermenter ? Dimensions would be helpful
Rick G on Apr 4, 2023
BEST ANSWER: Mine measures 21 1/4" tall. The lid is a little over 13" in diameter.
Can I swap out the valve at the bottom? I have a setup that uses 1/2 NTP to a quick connect that I would like to be able to use for everything if possible.
Abram H on Jul 30, 2022
BEST ANSWER: The inside of the valve uses a thread and nut fit. On the outside of the bucket, just behind the valve is an O-ring and some threads that reach into the inside of the fermenter. On the inside of the bucket, you thread a nut on to keep the valve on tight to the wall of the bucket. If you take all of this off (e.g. to clean), there's just an unthreaded, circular hole where the valve was. So removing the valve isn't a problem, but you'll have to find a way to keep your new valve attached from the inside of the bucket.
The instructions state you should first clean the brew bucket with TSP. I noticed there is food grade TSP and not food grade TSP. Are these two different chemicals? Which did you clean with?
Jason C on Apr 20, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Hi Jason - Food grade TSP is added directly to foods for a couple different reasons, (Increase the "fluffiness" in bread/pastries and helps retain moisture in meat products). You want the non-food grade which is strictly for cleaning.
How much does this weigh?
Daniel C. on Nov 24, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Hello Daniel - Our database shows a weight of 14.3 lbs.

Ss Fermenter beats the bucket
I have been using the 5 gal bucket method for a long time. The lid cracked and the bucket discolored. I needed better.
The Ss fermenter made things a lot easier and better.
I say Kick the Bucket and get the Ss fermenter.

7 gallon stainless bucket fermenter
The 7 gallon stainless bucket fermenter is a great addition to my one gallon glass fermenters. It allows me to recreate a small batch I would enjoy on a larger scale. And it has!! I make mead at home which without any bragging rights is by far better than any I have bought in stores. Friends and family are happy about my making mead at home as well. Thank you Morebeer!! You have a customer here, again and again.

Efficiently Fantastic Conical Fermenter!
I got two of these and love them! I modified my kids per SS Brewtech and added a 1.5" TC connector for a blow off valve and low pressure transfer valve. Super easy to clean and the rotating racking arm and conical bottom keep the trub out of the racking process. Highly recommend!

Ding
I like the one just like it that I bought about a year ago. If not I wouldn't have bought another. The box the new one arrived in was in perfect condition. The rim of the lid on the new one is dented. I have no doubt that it will work okay, otherwise I would have returned it. It was obviously dinged before it was packed. Always kinda bugs me when I pay full price for something that should be in a scratch and dent sale. This is no reflection on MoreBeer.

SS brewtech 7 gallon brew bucket.
It's a very nice addition to our brewing room. The only issue so far are the o ring seals for the spigot. They deform easily and create a leak. I purchased some silicone gaskets the right size. Problem solved. This stainless fermenter is way Better than the plastic fermenters we have. No more bucket's!! ??

Just ok
A little disappointed on how thin the stainless is. Also I think the manufacturer should passivate the stainless before it is shipped to the customer. A lot of work to get this vessel ready for brewing. Lots on controversy on how and what to use to passivate the stainless. When I finally did get around to passivating the stainless I got a real strong smell of the metal coming from the stainless. When I finished passivating with citric acid the stainless was odorless and spotless. Be sure to passivate your stainless or you will definitely get an off taste to your beer
