Upgrade your home brewery with an innovative, Stainless Steel, 3.5 Gallon Brew Bucket™ Fermenter!  Many have asked for a smaller BrewBucket, and that has been heard.  The Brew Bucket mini is perfect for 2.5 gallon batches.  With features similar to the original 7 gallon Brew Bucket, the Mini is a great way to do smaller batches.  Whether you are interested in splitting a 5 gallon batch for experimenting, or just brew 2.5 gallons, the BrewBucket Mini is a great choice.

Featuring a conical bottom, 304 SS construction, a rotating racking arm valve, and stackable design, these are space saving feature rich fermenters that are easy and enjoyable to use.

We inspected and used the Brew Bucket™ and one of the most unique features that stood out is that the Brew Bucket can be stacked during fermentation, even with an airlock attached. We also like the conical bottom that allows trub to settle out in a concentrated space that minimizes the surface area of the trub that is in contact with your beer.  The included Patent Pending Rotating Racking Valve is also a brilliantly simple design allowing you to rotate the racking arm inside the Brew Bucket down during fermentation to minimize trub, and later up to get clear beer when racking!   Etched Volume Markers on the inside were super handy when filling.

The build quality is really amazing for the price. Welds are clean. The lid is strong and the spring loaded lid hatches are solid.  The lid includes a removable, molded silicone gasket that ensures an airtight seal.  We love an airtight seal so that we can be sure to see the airlock working. The welded on stainless handles make the BrewBucket fermentor super easy to move.

  • 304 SS Food Grade Construction
  • Rotating Racking Arm & Valve (Patent Pending)
  • 3.5 Gal Max Capacity (2.5 gal Batches)
  • 40° Conical Bottom for Trub Trapping
  • Nests for Storage & Stacks for Ferment!
  • SS lid w/ Silicone Gasketed seal
  • Spring Loaded Lid Clamps for Airtight Lid Seal
  • Offset Airlock Hole includes Silicone Stopper
  • Gallon Markers inside for visual volume assessment
  • Stainless construction resists damage and is easy to clean
  • 8.5" Bottom Width / 11" Top Width x 16" Height

Please note: the thermowell pictured in the second photo is not included.

I am new to home brewing, never done it before besides making my own kombucha for a while. I am looking into making small batches of hard cider. Would this fermenter be good for that? What other equipment and items would you suggest?
Brian Foote on Sep 7, 2023
BEST ANSWER: This would be great for fermenting cider up to about 3 gallon batches. I use it for beer and it works great.
does this model have handles?
Fernando Mercader on Jun 11, 2020
BEST ANSWER: First one I bought did not have handles and the silicone stand was not attached so I purchased an extra stand. The second one has the handles and the stand is attached
O -ring on racking Ball Valve The instructions show using 2 o-rings for the ball valve. The FAQ's on-line says that only 1 o-ring is necessary on the exterior and the internal o-ring is not necessary. Which is it? Also, the o-rings for the racking tube- are they necessary?
Betty Dehoney on Nov 8, 2022
BEST ANSWER: Use one on the outside and the inside and be very careful to finger tighten only while wet with sanitizer and do a leak test.

Solid fermenter, good results
Easy to use and bottle from, Strong handles facilitate moving it. Generally pleased. One issue: the internal racking arm, even in its full-down position doesn't reach down enough and leaves a lot of beer needing to be siphoned or ladled out. Seem like it should be easy for them to fix, though.

Great for mini fridge lagers
Using to ferment half batch lagers because it fits in mini fridge. Base is sturdy rubbery silicone material held firmly in place with a removable bolt. Easy to remove for cleaning spilled wort. Bucket Material is solid. Has handles. Valve no leak on first try but tested before pouring first batch. I Tape sensor to side with 3M Nexcare paper medical bandage tape - removes easy sticks well. Don't think thermowell is needed . Lid o ring tricky to replace but easier if you zig zag like a star pattern. No space for a fridge big enough for five gallon.

SS 3.5G Brewbucket a great upgrade for small batches
Very satisfied with the new 3.5G brewbucket. Easily fits into my minifridge connected to an Inkbird temp controller. Finish is very polished inside and out which has to be next best thing to glass but more durable. Silicone seal with four hinge locks worked perfectly as evidenced by vigorous bubbler activity. Would prefer flat silicone washers on the spigot vs orings but this is moot as the orings are working.

Bonus is my iSpindle wifi works through the ss bucket and minifridge! Means that I can track fermentation progress without opening the lid to peel or draw samples.

Handles made movement up and down stairs secure and the attached base protected the spigot and bottom from any unintentional bumps.

I look forward to kegging next without using a siphon.
First brew with my new 3.5Gal SS Brewbucket.

Stainless FTW
Great design and solid construction. My only complaint is the single, small hole for the airlock. I had to drill another one in the center of the lid to accommodate another stopper for my temp. probe.

Awesome little fermenter.
This fermenter is just what I was looking for. It is sturdy with handles and an attached rubber stand. This is a big step up from a Mr. Beer plastic fermenter.

Great quality
Perfect for Kombucha continuous brew. Only other accessary needed is a Rack Cane Filter to keep spigot from clogging.

Only complaint is that MoreBeer does not sell the Kombucha lid.

New bucket includes handles and attached base
Writing this since most negative reviews here are about the handles and the base. A new version of the Mini Brew Bucket (i purchased from Morebeer in Aug. 2020) now comes with handles, and the base is attached.
