Brew Bucket Mini Fermenter - 3.5 gal.

Upgrade your home brewery with an innovative, Stainless Steel, 3.5 Gallon Brew Bucket™ Fermenter!  Many have asked for a smaller BrewBucket, and that has been heard.  The Brew Bucket mini is perfect for 2.5 gallon batches.  With features similar to the original 7 gallon Brew Bucket, the Mini is a great way to do smaller batches.  Whether you are interested in splitting a 5 gallon batch for experimenting, or just brew 2.5 gallons, the BrewBucket Mini is a great choice.

Featuring a conical bottom, 304 SS construction, a rotating racking arm valve, and stackable design, these are space saving feature rich fermenters that are easy and enjoyable to use.

We inspected and used the Brew Bucket™ and one of the most unique features that stood out is that the Brew Bucket can be stacked during fermentation, even with an airlock attached. We also like the conical bottom that allows trub to settle out in a concentrated space that minimizes the surface area of the trub that is in contact with your beer.  The included Patent Pending Rotating Racking Valve is also a brilliantly simple design allowing you to rotate the racking arm inside the Brew Bucket down during fermentation to minimize trub, and later up to get clear beer when racking!   Etched Volume Markers on the inside were super handy when filling.

The build quality is really amazing for the price. Welds are clean. The lid is strong and the spring loaded lid hatches are solid.  The lid includes a removable, molded silicone gasket that ensures an airtight seal.  We love an airtight seal so that we can be sure to see the airlock working.  The welded on stainless handles make the BrewBucket super easy to move.

  • 304 SS Food Grade Construction
  • Rotating Racking Arm & Valve (Patent Pending)
  • 3.5 Gal Max Capacity (2.5 gal Batches)
  • 40° Conical Bottom for Trub Trapping
  • Nests for Storage & Stacks for Ferment!
  • SS lid w/ Silicone Gasketed seal
  • Spring Loaded Lid Clamps for Airtight Lid Seal
  • Offset Airlock Hole includes Silicone Stopper
  • Gallon Markers inside for visual volume assessment

I like to brew small batches, and this is an upgrade from plastic. Hopefully the built in racking arm will also make my racking cane obsolete so I can reduce clutter.

Quality, Quality, Quality
Sure, you'll pay more for this than a plastic fermenter, But you'll be hard pressed to find something as quality as this product.

Awesome vessel for brewing kombucha!
Awesome vessel for brewing kombucha! It’s an excellent size and looks great. Easy to sterilize. The spigot is perfect also. I like the internal markings. So you see how much it’s holding. Make kombucha hobby is off to a great start. I like it so much I’m buying a second one so I can make Jun.

Great quality.
Needed a small fermenter for small batches from Pico Z. This does the job. Wanted cooling and the FTSs does exactly what it's supposed to do.

Very happy
Completing first batch, using the brew bucket as my secondary fermentation, easily moving beer from brew bucket directly into the 2.5 gal keg. Size of brew bucket allowed for cold crashing in refrig, significantly clearing the beer. I would highly recommend this product for someone brewing smaller batches. I would also recommend ordering a second base for the bucket. When the bucket is full, it is difficult to lift and carry both to new location without an extra set of hands.

Mini brew bucket
This would be a great fermenter if the base were attached. Had I known that it was separate I would not have purchased this. Combined with the fact that it has no handles makes it difficult to move when full.

I've seen comments that the base needs to be attached and that it requires handles. I agree that it needs the base attached but there is enough overhang at the top that provides enough material to hold onto. Overall I am happy with the product.

Nice addition for small batches
Really great quality for a reasonable price. My only wish is that the base could be attached to the stainless bucket. It's rather awkward to pick up from the base with no hand holds and no way to set it down otherwise since it has a conical bottom.

Nice but needs improvements
I have the 7 gallon SS fermenter and it is very nice. I would rate that one 5 stars. I needed a smaller one to put in kegerator for secondary fermenting. I make a lot of 2-1/2 to 3 gallon batches. This one needs legs or solid bottom glued on base. It is a real hassel to move this thing while full. It could also use some type of handle.
I made my own base using a 10L bucket from Big local store and cutting hole out for spout. It works great setting the whole thing in the bucket on a 1" foam bottom in the bucket. I used 4 pieces of foam cut out to slide in around the top of bucket for support which keeps the fermenter solid in the bucket. The ridge on the bucket works as a handle to move the whole thing around. It works very well but I shouldn't need to do this if SS made a couple simple modifications. Then I could rate this 5 stars.

Worst piece of brewing equipment i own.
I have been brewing for 10 + years, ran through all kinds of fermenters, buckets, carboys, propane burners, electric set ups name it. I wanted to start doing smaller batches esp for ipas, so theyre not sitting around long, so figured go stainless reduce oxygen, preform (semi) closed transfers...nope! Brewed 2 brews on this both came out tasting horrible, odd off flavors, obvious oxidized flavors.. but how? Well the spigot leaks, the dip tube clogs ... (WITHOUT ANY DRY HOPS...JUST TRUB) even when pointed down so must lift the top for samples and siphons. This thing sucks, i really want my money back, its useless 150 ornament.. and dont get me started on the base!

Exactly what you need for small batches
No surprise for an SS product... this is well made and the perfect size for 2.5 or 3 gallon batches. Removable base is a minor annoyance, but a few inches of duct tape (see photo) easily solved this problem. I saw that one reviewer bought an extra silicone base, which is a good idea. For me the tape works great. Probably will buy a second one so I can split larger batches and try different yeast and dry hop combinations.
