Description

These high quality 500 ml (16.9 oz) Belgian / Champagne style bottles can be capped with standard crown caps (26mm).  Thicker than standard 12 and 22 oz bottles.  Ideal for lambics and other styles that have higher volumes of CO2.  3 Cases will take 4.75 gallons of beer, roughly the amount needed for a 5 gallon batch.

can you use standard corks with these?

BEST ANSWER: Haven't tried "standard corks". I used the belgian corks and cages sold from More Beer. The corks will go in, but they won't come out without a corkscrew and elbow grease. A smaller diameter cork would be preferred. I'd like to be able to pop them out by hand, like with champagne.

Great size
I really like these, they are bigger than the 12 oz ( too much bottling) but not as big as the 22 oz (Which some people are intimidated by) so these are the best of both worlds
