Description

Add convenience and reduce the mess of bottling with this bottling wand!

Say goodbye to the days of just running a tube from your bottling bucket's spigot into the bottom of the bottle. A bottling wand starts its flow when you press the wand tip against the bottom of the bottle, and stops when you lower the bottle away from it. No more having to fiddle with the spigot during bottling, and no more mess from the dripping hose between bottles!

What does this bottle filler have that the rest don't? A removable tip and spring that make this model easy to sanitize. Plus, the nozzle spring can be removed if you prefer the action of a springless bottle filler. The actual "wand" on the filler is 12 inches long.

The plastic end fits nicely into our FE346 spigot, or it can be removed to attach 3/8" ID tubing.

How is this supposed to connect to the bottling bucket? It didn’t fit onto the spigot, and I couldn’t get the tubing to connect to it. I ended up just pouring from the spigot into the bottle, and I likely aerated everything too much.

BEST ANSWER: The coupler on the non-spring end is removable to match the 3/8" spigot with the 3/8" clear plastic part of the bottling wand. Then we just use a couple inches of 3/8" vinyl tubing to couple them together. It is tough to remove the coupler but it is definitely possible and other answers have good advice on how to do it.
What sized ID of tubing is used for this bottling wand?
Brant Anderson on Oct 13, 2023
BEST ANSWER: 3/8 in.
Why does this have a lead warning?
Alex A McCool on Apr 9, 2020
BEST ANSWER: The Prop 65 warning is not specifically for lead. It is most likely that these are produced in a factory that also uses some items that prop 65 is concerned with.

Wouldn't want to bottle without one!
Hands down a necessity. These function flawlessly for a year or so before they break. The tip always cracks and no longer seats on the tube. Fortunately these are cheap. If they made this in stainless you'd never have to buy another one...

Pointless coupler is nigh-impossible to remove
The wand has a coupler or something else on the non-spring end that is simultaneously too big (making it impossible to run 3/8" ID tubing on to the end of the wand) and too small (it has an internal constriction for some unfathomable reason).

I cut it off because it was so tight it was basically impossible to remove without maybe pliers and potentially destroying the whole wand.

The spring end is attached the same way, meaning the spring isn't removable either, or more importantly: making it hard to disassemble for cleaning. I dunno if this is just differential shrinking or what, but this is basically a single-use bottling wand that I'll use b/c i need it for bottling this weekend, but then I'll get something better to replace it. Since I can't clean it.

Wouldn't do without it.
So much so I ordered an extra one ( they are cheap) in case I break my main one mid-bottling or transfer.

Works and is priced appropriately
This is perfect for quick, easy, non-stressful bottle or growler fills for sharing from my kegged beer. I like the smaller diameter as it fits all bottle sizes.

Upgrade to my old bottling wand, but...
The good: this wand makes bottle filling quick and easy. The liquid flows fast (almost too fast), and the spring closes with minimal dripping.

The bad: I could not get the hard plastic top to connect to my bucket spigot. I tried hot water and still no luck. Finally had to cut a short piece of silicone tube from my other bottling wand in order to make the connection.

Great for easy distribution into the bottles
I attached this directly onto the outlet of my plastic bottling bucket's; no hose was used. Worked perfect!

One handed operation
This will fit right up to the spigot on my bottling bucket, a MoreBeer plastic bucket, without the need for tubing. This allowed me to set it on the countertop and fill one handed. Spring is a little stiff but that's not a bad thing as I had little to no drips between bottles.

Ultimately worked...
A bit of a beer bottling disaster the first time through. This wand would not connect to the bottling bucket spigot, the nylon connector is too rigid ot useful. After pulling it off, I added 6 inches of 5/16" tubing to connect spigot directly to rigid wand tube, works quite well now.
