Description

The BrewEasy™ Electric is a revolutionary new ultra-compact and economical all grain brewing system.  This patent pending system and process utilizes a two kettle recirculation infusion mash system called the Kettle-RIMS™ or K-RIMS™ process for short.  This system is very simple to use and is a very approachable way to transition from extract brewing into all grain brewing.  The BrewEasy™ Electric provides all the simplicity of a brew-in-a-bag (BIAB) system, but eliminates the cloudy wort, messy lifting, and does so with much better efficiency!

This Turnkey Kit includes all of the necessary equipment to produce 10 gallon batches of beer from the BrewEasy™.

Mash in the upper vessel, while using the lower to recirculate wort and raise mash temps as necessary.  Recirculation flow rate is controlled by included orifices, allowing for 6 flow settings from 0.5 - 2.0 gpm.  After conversion, simply open your Mash Tun valve, letting your wort drain into your Boil Kettle, at which point you're ready to boil and should be getting your hops ready!

Includes:

  • 1x 15 gal BoilerMaker™ Kettle and False Bottom (upper Mash Tun)
  • 1x 20 gal BoilerMaker™ Boil Kettle (lower Boil Kettle)
  • 1x Blichmann BoilCoil™
  • 1x Blichmann Electric 240 v Tower of Power™ LTE Stand - With Pump
  • 1x Blichmann Tower of Power™ Control Module - 240 v
  • 1x BrewEasy™ Adapter Lid Kit - 10 gallon

Already own some Blichmann gear?  Check out the modular BrewEasy™ Lid Adapter Kits.  These are designed to upgrade your system if you already own the Burner, Pump, and appropriately sized Kettles.

Quality Product Overall
I purchased this system about a month ago and have brewed with it once. Overall, the system components are well built and operate as intended.

After researching different systems for 6 months, I decided to go all electric so I could continue brewing in my basement. The boil coil is second to none and works fantastic. The Tower of Power control unit is simple to use and holds the temperature within 1 degree for the duration of the mash.

The new Blichmann G2 pots are fantastic as well and clearly are of the highest quality out there.

I have rated this at 4 stars for one reason. The complete and utter lack of anything remotely resembling directions for assembly are missing. I was simply flabbergasted that I spent $2,500 on a turn key unit and Blichmann did not have the foresight to include an overall assembly diagram. Seriously, I was so overwhelmed upon opening the cartons I gave up the first night. I'd have to say this is an unacceptable and glaring oversight by Blichmann. To be clear, the assembly is not difficult, but having an actually assembly diagram would have helped me greatly.

Again, overall, I'm very happy with the unit. I was aware that Blichmann had some issues providing directions from other reviews I have read, but falsely assumed that they would have corrected the issue by now. I was wrong.

Either way, I would still recommend this product and am looking forward to many years using it!

Wow, you mean no instructions of any kind? Not for the Controller? Not for the Boil Coil? Not for the conversion kit? I can't imagine what they're thinking? They market this as a transitional kit for people just moving into all-grain brewing, but then assume you know how to put the thing together from scratch? And the 5 gallon and 10 gallon versions, as a practical matter, can only brew up to 1.080 OG because the mash tuns are too small. For this kind of money, I could put together a pretty decent HERMS system and brew whatever I wanted.

FWIW - There are instructions on assembling the individual parts included in the shipment, and there is a BrewEasy manual online at Blichmann Engineering that was very helpful in getting the system itself put together...
