Best Bitter Ale - All Grain Beer Brewing Kit (5 Gallons)
Please select from the following option(s) to see pricing and availability.

(Makes 5 gallons) A really easy drinking, yet extremely flavorful English style beer that features English Carastan malt. Light golden color combines with lots of British Kent Golding hops to provide the British equivalent of our Light Ale, though with more flavor. Don't let the name fool you, the bitterness is really quite moderate. Start drinking this beer and before you know you will have gone through a few pints.

Good representation on this style.
2nd Brew with Robobrew. Just kegged the other day. Not fully carbonated yet but couldn’t resist a glass. Better than expected. Will be brewing more of this.

Good but augment to make it 4 or 5 stars
Needed a little more body and bitterness when using a Brew in a Bag technique
(I would recommend adding another half ounce of hops and 2 lbs of 2 row malt)

A good surprise!
This beer was a surprise to me. It has an excellent crisp flavor with a clean finish. The bitter factor is very mellow and this beer has the character of a lager which I was not expecting. This will be my second brewing of this recipe as the first 5 gallons went so quickly. Easy to brew yet a seemingly more complex taste. My friends & fellow brewers all had a great response to this brew. If you are looking for something slightly different to add to your beer menu you might want to give this recipe a try.
