Description

These quick disconnects feature 1/4" barbed fittings which can be used with either 3/16", 1/4" or 5/16" line. The quick disconnect functionality is activated by a shrouded thumb latch. The temperature range is -40F to 180F. They can handle a vacuum to 120 psi - so you need not worry about them leaking gas. The internal valve spring is 316 type stainless steel and the o-ring is food grade buna-n.

Super-handy way to swap gas lines. I have the female fitting on the regulator, and several tubing lines for different uses that connect with this male fitting. Need this one for the Carbonator gas line, replacing the awkward flare connector.

BEST ANSWER: We carry a replacement gasket for these quick disconnects. The part number is H550G.

Mine leaked.....twice
Purchased the set in Nov2015 (2male + 1 Female). Female fitting leaked my 20lb CO2 tank dry a year later (Dec2016). Morebeer replaced it, but I was reluctant to use it again. Got over my fears and tried them again in March2018 and unfortunately the male fitting failed at the plastic connection point (not my tubing connections). For the money spent in lost CO2 I could have just purchased a new 5lb tank. Not worth the risk to try again. Good Luck! Check those O-rings!

Pricey but Oh So Worth It
I keg a lot of sodas, and these disconnects make life so much easier! I have over $200 invested in them, but they save hours of time and substitute convenience for frustration.

Face it, cleaning lines over barb connections sucks. Flares are much better, but still a pain, take a minute, and need a wrench. These unclip in an instant and are more sanitary to boot. I just topped off a keg with CO2, then popped the gas onto a carbonator, then pressurized another keg. It took longer to write it down than to change the gas lines. Seriously.

When I need to flush a line with a QD on it, I clip a mating one in and bypass the shutoff. Otherwise, they hold gas like a champ, with no loss of pressure. Can't recommend them highly enough.

I only use these connectors for CO2, and they are fast, easy and give a positive seal.

Great quick connects
I use these for both gas and beer lines. Makes it really easy to swap out co2 tanks and beer kegs. I've been using for over 6 years and never had any problems!

Couldn't live without them
The only downfall is when you try to use your setup with a friend that doesn't use these.

I have three c02 tanks and I use a combination of corny and commercial kegs. Having these connections on all of my manifold ins and outs and keg couplers makes changing and moving things around a breeze. I highly recommend these if you run a manifold and/or use different types of kegs and couplers.

Adding a utility line to your gas system makes life much easier. I use this to push beer & purge carboys and barrels. Makes life easy.
