These are very sturdy bottles that can handle much higher co2 (I sometimes carb my belgians to 5 volumes), they also seem more style appropriate and look classier for my Belgian-style beers. If I'm going to go to the effort to brew a good Belgian, I might as well have the proper glassware.

Can these also be caged and corked ? It looks like it, just want to make sure. I'd like to have the option later on.
Brian Techman on Feb 6, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Yes sir. We’ve done both capped and corked. Both worked great.
do these bottles require a bench capper?
Josh Smith on Mar 27, 2018
BEST ANSWER: You can use one of the handheld cappers (red swing type) presuming they have the reversible plates. You'll want to look at the metal parts in the bottom part that grabs the neck of the bottle. They can be difficult to get out but they should be reversible for larger necks. Since they are cheap I have two, one set for each style so I can switch back and forth easily in the same bottling run between bottle styles.
How many vols. can these bottles handle?
valton pichette on Jan 6, 2018
BEST ANSWER: According to a document I found from another online retailer of brewing supplies, a 750ml champagne bottle should go up too about 7 vols. That said, I can't even imagine a beer with that level of co2. I recently bottle-conditioned a saison that was around 3.5 vols, using these bottles. It was very highly carbonated, and these bottles had no problem whatsoever.

Great for Belgians
I love putting my Belgians in these. The elegant shape alone enhances the presentation when I serve my homebrew, but I mainly like that I can carb my Belgian beers to 5 or 6 volumes. They accept standard crown caps also

Dusty but pretty good, no defects found yet and nothing has exploded.. so I think that speaks for itself.
These along with Belgian style corks (fatter than normal #9s) and wire hoods seem to be working well thus far. For brewers it's about 4 1/2 of these for a gallon of product. Also, Belgian corks for these monsters will work just fine in a double handled manual cooking device (little to no extra effort provided they are wet)

Great Bottles!
These are great bottles for beer with high co2 volumes. Have put 3.5-4.0 vol with no issues. Only downside is you need a quality bench capper with the machined collett. I used the red and blue deluxe bench capper. It caps perfectly every time.

Great sturdy bottles, but...
These seem to require a bench capper. I wasn't able to get a good seal with the Emily Capper that grabs onto the neck.
