Description

This cast iron wide-profile banjo burner is strong and efficient, topping our ratings in getting wort to a quick boil, while using the same amount or less of propane. Adjusted for efficiency this banjo burner produces around 70,000 BTU/hr, and in full, this banjo burner mode produces 100,000 btu.

Banjo burners can often times have issues when using with low flame output.  We sourced and tested a number of different units, before settling on this one, which performs great at low output.

  • Uses 3/8" male flare fitting (included).
  • Comes with steel orifice plate for regulating airflow
  • The burner has a 9 7/8" diameter and is 14 3/4" long

This banjo burner requires a propane regulator to function properly.  We recommend a Wind Guard with these units if brewing outdoors.  If using indoors, you must have proper ventilation in the form of an overhead cooking hood.

Can I use this burner with my existing 18 PSI regulator, and does anyone know how close to the bottom of the pot to mount it?
Charles Webster on Feb 21, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Hi Charles - This works with standard propane regulators. In concern to mounting, we have these approximately 2.5" below the kettle on our Brew Sculptures. This allows for plenty of combustible air and efficient flame contact.
can I use this burner with natural gas?
robert stakem on Feb 1, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Hi Robert, yes you can. I have mine plumbed to natural gas connected by a flexible gas line that runs from the burner to a valve I installed in the solid line that supplies my furnace. You can buy the conversion kits for your burner online or at your local brew supple store. No more propane tanks to deal with! Good luck, John

I really like this burner. It burns cleanly all the way from a gentle simmer to full blast, doesn't leave any soot deposits on my brew pot. It brought my fifteen gallon all-grain mash to temp perfectly, running at about half throttle.
