Description

The Artisan Hops® Hop Shot is an easy way to boost IBUs without adding vegetal matter to your beer. This CO2 hop extract is made from 100% Centennial hops, which will impart a slight citrus, floral character to your beer. 1 mL boiled in 5 gallons of 1.050 wort for 60 minutes will add approximately 9 IBUs.

Add to boiling wort only. We recommend softening the extract before use. Place the syringe in a warm glass of water at the beginning of your brew day, or create a slurry by adding the extract directly to a small amount of pre-boiled water.

  • 10 mL syringe
  • 100% Centennial
  • Citrus, Floral

Store in the refrigerator between uses.

I haven't used them yet but I'd like to reduce the amount of hop matter during brew day.

I added this to my bottling sugar while it was boiling, Then added it to my bottling pail, it made a huge mess and contaminated everything it is stuck to everything I had to throw away all my bottling equipment unless there's someway it can be removed. is there someway it can be removed?
Kent S on Jan 23, 2023
BEST ANSWER: Hot PBW might remove it but probably not. This is extremely concentrated resin which needs to be isomerized by a long boil not meant for bottling so I’m not sure. I use it for bittering at 60 minutes and it’s pretty difficult to get it off stainless steel when it’s concentrated. Be careful if your bottling equipment isn’t rated for high heat but very hot PBW (160 deg F) will remove almost anything.

Good Flavor and Less Vegetable Matter
Heat up syringe as directions say and it will mix in well with wort. Good flavor with less plant material in wort.
