Gave this yeast a spin after reading about it on a NEIPA blog. This will be my go-to from now on for juicy, hazy IPAs. Like the manufacturer description says, this yeast likes to climb. Both times I've made a 1L starter in a 2L growler, it's blown out the airlock. I've brewed one batch with this yeast and the next starter is on deck when my fermenters free up.The resulting hazy is the best I've made and the certified judges that tasted it gave a resounding thumbs up. Perfect color, cloudiness, and taste. It fermented further down that I had calculated. I mash at 154 to give it some additional body and sweetness. BeerSmith calculated a 1.018 FG but the result was actually 1.010, so the ABV was a lot higher than predicted. That being said, this yeast is perfect for hazies and I'll continue to go back to it for this style.
