Description

A15 Independence will bring new qualities to your hop forward beers. This strain is higher in esters and gives off some fruit character that takes hoppy beers to the highest echelons of flavor. Perfect for pale ales and IPAs, but also does considerably well in stouts and English ales. Show your Independence and try this strain in your next batch!

Usage Instructions:
  • ​Store refrigerated until ready to pitch
  • Shake and kneed pouch to homogenize slurry
  • Sanitize the sealed pouch
  • Open and pitch entire contents into well-aerated wort

Works very well, but the beer took a long time to bottle condition to get to its best
All the Imperial Organic yeasts are very fragile. Without the ice pack they can be seriously damaged. Long storage at the wrong temperature can damage it easily as well. The yeast was quite active. The packaging does leave something to be desired. If you shake it up and then open it, yeast gets everywhere. I found that the best technique is to sanitize the outside of the can, wash hands as clean as possible, shake the can, and open it under the surface of the wort. I made a rye beer with Independence, and it took several months before it was at its best.

Not viable
Wouldnt know,yeast wasnt viable.even when shipped with 4 ice packs.1st time in over 50 homebrews thats happened so not a good impression.
