BEST ANSWER: 5 Liters to the top. I measured by weight of water, and it really is 5 Liters.

A True 5 Liters or 1-1/3 Gallon Bottle
This doesn't look much different from a typical 1 gallon bottle, even side by side, but it is a true 5 liters. I carefully filled to the lip with water, and determined that the weight of water was indeed 5.0 kg. So yes, this really is 5 liters (1.3 Gallons, or 5.3 Quarts) if filled to the very top.

Just what I wanted! Perfect!
