Description

Ferment 10 gallon batches of beer in these beautiful conical fermenters, and control the temperature of your fermenting beer to within 1 degree, any time of the year! The included Dual-Stage Controller will simultaneously control both the cooling unit and the 40-Watt heater. The cooling unit mounts to the outside of the cone with no internal contact with the beer. The cooling is extremely gentle on your yeast, changing wort temperatures at about a degree an hour. It can get to and hold your ale fermentation temperatures of 65-72 Fahrenheit even in  ambient temps of 100° Fahrenheit. In addition, it can get to and hold lager fermentation temperatures of 48-52° Fahrenheit all the way up to ambient temperatures of 80 Fahrenheit.

The Leg Extension Option (CONP770) is needed if you wish to gravity feed into a keg. If you would like to use CO2 to push your beer into a keg, you will need the CO2 Adapter Package (CONP775).

Cooling is designed to work with 10 to 11 gallon batches.  Please note that when dropping temperature, your fermenting wort will contract and may pull liquid from your blowoff bucket into the fermentor.  This may also occur when dumping trub from the bottom port, or when racking from the racking arm.

Our conicals come with several great standard features that makes them light years beyond other conicals on the market, and combined with our new set of options, you can configure them to fit your exact brewing needs! MoreBeer! Stainless Conical Fermentors come with these great features:

After comparing with other manufacturers I liked the way way it was a complete fermenter and the way it was built surpasses the other manufacturers.

How would the heating and cooling be affected if only fermenting a 7 gallon batch of beer in this fermenter?
Eric Schmehl on May 14, 2020
BEST ANSWER: This fermenter would not be able to cool if you have fewer than 9 gallons of wort in the fermenter. The cooling chips are mounted between the 8 and 9 gallon marks on the side of the fermenter. The wort has to cover that part of the fermenter or the chips will ice over and burn out very quickly.
The heater is wrapped around the cone of the fermenter and will work with any amount of liquid in the fermenter.
Is yours cooling as well as advertised? Mine is in a 75F basement and can't get the active fermentation below 60 degrees. It has been running nonstop for over 24 hours and the temperature is now 61F.

BEST ANSWER: Mine is in my garage and the last batch I made last month Was during a warm spell and when I crashed my down to 40 degrees it took less than 20 hours and keep it there till I legged it. Very happy with the way it controls the temp for me.

Awesome product
My old freezer died and I was in need of a solution for temperature control during fermentation. I am extremely satisfied with this fermenter. I live in Texas and my garage is very hot. It has held the temperature within one degree during fermenting.
