Description

The newest thing from SS Brewtech, this 10 gallon brite tank is the first home brewing brite tank. Cut down your carbonation time to about 24 hours instead of 5-7 days. Store your 10 gallon batch in one container allowing the beer to age better and easier cleaning when you are done. Unlike kegs the brite tank has a larger bottom surface area for the yeast to settle onto. A great addition to homebreweries and nano breweries alike.

This high quality tank features pressure and temperature monitoring, an integrated Carb Stone, and a sight glass to visually assess how much beer is left!  Large 6" TC top port, and a 1.5" Butterfly valve insure easy use and cleanup.   Pair with a glycol chiller for a completely standalone cooled serving system!

Note: This tank does not come with an FTSs package. These are not sold individually and must be purchased alongside the tank as FE860A.

Features:

  • Professional dished bottom design
  • Large center drain allows less sediment through than standard dip tube
  • Carbonation stone
  • LCD thermometer and thermowell
  • 6" Tri Clamp lid
  • Custom Ss butterfly valve
  • Sight glass and exterior etched volume markers
  • Pressure gauge and relief valve
  • Rated up to 15 psi

Is the relief valve adjustable (like a spunding valve)?
David Cogdill on Sep 21, 2021
BEST ANSWER: These relief valves are not super accurate for spunding but can be used that way if you take the time to dial it in. Using some amount of keg lube on the spring and poppet will help it work more gradually.

Great Upgrade for brewers who keg
Great improvement over kegging especially for force carbonation. It really does carb in 24 hours! Very compact size - easily fits in my beer fridge. The Butterfly valve is excellent quality - but the vinyl sight tube and all the weldless fittings would be much improved if they were welded TC fittings like the larger BME version. I would have purchased a BME 10Gal if it was available. Still a great addition- and much easier to clean/use than corny kegs!

Great Second Fermentation Tank!
I've now run 7 lagers through my brites and readily give them 5 full stars.

Initially I had an issue with a valve - frustrating, but it wasn't the tank itself. Once that issue was resolved, the tank has worked flawlessly and allows me to - nearly effortlessly - move from conicals to brites to cold crash, clear, storage/maturation, and serving. In fact, I like the tanks so much that I've ordered the internal coils and neoprene jackets with the intention to hook them up to my glycol harness.

The tanks are extremely well built with tight, clean tigs and smooth, bacteria resistant surfaces. Again, 5 stars.
