Can you really brew Pints Under $1.50?

Sure you can, but let’s go over some of the costs of brewing your own beer. First off there is the homebrewing equipment. This is where you can keep it simple or keep on upgrading. So we can’t really factor in your brewing equipment preferences into the equation. If you’re still using the pot you make spaghetti dinner in and the carboy fermenter you picked up super cheap at a garage sale, good for you. If you upgrade your system constantly because you love the gadget side of this hobby, good for you too. We’re really focusing on the brewing ingredients here and not the variables like equipment and your personal time. With that being said below are literally hundreds of beer recipe kits that with a packet of dry yeast will be $1.50 or less per pint!

Tips for browsing & selecting

When viewing these kits, please be aware this is a mix of all-grain & extract brewing kits. There are filters on the left to help narrow them down further.  You may also see some extract kits with one choice that fits this $150 price point and another one (dry malt extract) that is more expensive. Just pay attention to which ones you're selecting and you will be keeping the costs under a dollar fifty per pint of beer!
