Bock Beer Day

For those about to Bock we salute you! National Bock Beer Day is celebrated on March 20^th every year. The Bock beer style originated in Germany and is typically associated with strong lagers. Though Bocks can run the spectrum from mid to higher abv’s and be pale in color or even dark. A traditional Bock has a strong malt aroma reminiscent of fresh bread crust and toffee, with virtually no hop aroma. It’s appearance is copper to almost brown in color and the flavor is complex maltiness with rich melanoidins and toasty flavors from use of Munich and Vienna malts. These style of beers are often consumed during the spring harvest festivals.
