X-Dry Series Tri-Clamp Chugger Pump (Inline) - Stainless Steel

    1 review

Introducing the X-Dry Series Chugger Pumps! These pumps offer the same great quality we've come to expect from Chugger, but now feature Run-Dry Protection. Although the Chugger still needs to be primed before each use, the X-Dry Series offers a new level of protection from damage due to cavitation. The Chugger lineup of pumps represents a great value for an even better price. These pumps are workhorses in the brewery. Featuring a robust flow rate of 7 gpm, and a magnetic drive designed to handle back-pressure, these pumps are a great addition to any brewing setup! The Stainless Steel Chugger showcases their molded Stainless Steel Pump Head. This stainless pump is a steal for the price, and we've been more than happy with the quality! Use this to ease transfers between kettles, cool wort via a counterflow chiller, or recirculate icewater for quicker chilling! The Chugger pump model has 1.5" tri-clamp inlet and outlet, allowing easy integration with your T.C. kettles or fermenter! We recommend setting these pumps up with a butterfly valve on the outflow side, this way you can throttle down the outgoing flow rate, allowing for more efficient sparges or cooling! The pump head can also be rotated 360° (in 90° intervals) allowing for even more customization! Features: Run Dry Carbon Bearing Stainless Steel Inline Pump Head Food Grade up to 250° F 1.5" tri-clamp inlet and outlet High Flow rate of 7 gpm Max Head 18.6 ft 115v 55" cord and plug attached 50/60 Hz, 1.4 amp 1/20 HP, 3500 RPM Note: When using silicone tubing, we recommend using a slighlty larger barb than the I.D. of the tubing. This is because silicone tubing tends to have greater pliability than most tubing. For example, when using 1/2" silicone tubing, we recommend our 5/8" barb (H620), to help ensure a better seal!

  • 1000 mL Reagent Bottle 1000 mL Reagent Bottle

Reagent Bottle for Yeast Starters - 1000 mL

    6 reviews

This is a super cool bottle for making yeast starter wort. Mix DME and water to make your wort and then boil in the microwave with the cap off. Remove from microwave, thread on the cap while still hot, and place in refrigerator. Store the wort till you need it.  When you are ready to make a starter remove from refrigerator to warm up, pour into a sanitized flask, and add your yeast. Make multiple bottles all at once at store in your refrigerator until needed.  This reagent bottle is made from durable borosilicate perfect for storing anything you need. Borosilicate is great because unlike ordinary glass it won't crack with rapid changes in temperature. KegLand Item Number: KL04022

Banjo Burner - High Pressure Propane

    9 reviews

Due to high demand, this item is currently out of stock. Be the first to receive your items by placing a pre-order today. We will automatically ship this to you when we receive more inventory. This cast iron wide-profile banjo burner is strong and efficient, topping our ratings in getting wort to a quick boil, while using the same amount or less of propane. Adjusted for efficiency this banjo burner produces around 70,000 BTU/hr, and in full, this banjo burner mode produces 100,000 btu.  Banjo burners can often times have issues when using with low flame output.  We sourced and tested a number of different units, before settling on this one, which performs great at low output.  Uses 3/8" male flare fitting (included). Comes with steel orifice plate for regulating airflow The burner has a 9 7/8" diameter and is 14 3/4" long This banjo burner requires a propane regulator to function properly.  We recommend a Wind Guard with these units if brewing outdoors.  If using indoors, you must have proper ventilation in the form of an overhead cooking hood.

Temperature control is one of the most important aspects of a healthy, happy fermentation. When your fermenting beer gets too hot, the yeast will likely impart off-flavors that can easily overwhelm the taste of your finished beer. The Ludicrous Coil offers a ludicrous amount of surface area (which means more cooling capacity) compared to other chilling coils you'll find. Not only does it manage your fermentation temperature with ease, the Ludicrous Coil has the capacity to chill beer to cold crashing temperatures when used with glycol and insulation. A truly unparalleled unit when it comes to in-solution chilling. You will also need a cold water source to provide the cooling solution. For maintaining ale temperatures, a cooler or bucker of ice water is sufficient in most cases and this method works well with the BrewBuilt Chiller Pump Kit. For maintaining lager temperatures or cold crashing, we recommend the IceMaster Max 2 Glycol Chiller and the Insulated Tubing Set. Sanitary all stainless steel construction with 3/8" OD inlet/outlet. Compatible with 3/8" ID flexible tubing & hose clamps or 9.5mm Duotight adapter. Specifications: Size Coil Height Float Tubing Length 7/14 Gal 18.5" 24" 27 Gal 24" 30" 38 Gal 33" 39"

  • 35L BrewZilla - Gen 4.1 - 110-120V 35L BrewZilla - Gen 4.1 - 110-120V

    BrewZilla All Grain Brewing System | Gen 4.1 | Integrated Pump | Includes Wort Chiller | WiFi | Bluetooth | RAPT | 35L | 9.25G | 110V

Elevate your brewing game with the Gen 4 BrewZilla. This cutting-edge system combines innovative features like wireless connectivity via WiFi & Bluetooth, allowing you to control and monitor your brew day, ensuring precision, convenience, and exceptional beer batch after batch! WiFi / Bluetooth enabled RAPT Controller tracks your brewday and automatically uploads detailed information to the RAPT portal The top mounted RAPT Controller can be tilted upward for easy viewing, or detached from the unit to mount it on the wall or placed on your bench Mirror polished dome shaped bottom with center drain — get every last bit of wort into your fermenter while the perforated bottom screen filters out 95% of hot break and hop matter Make larger batches or higher gravity beers! BrewZilla offers the largest malt pipe capacity for units in its size range, and the Gen 4 unit has a 30% larger malt pipe compared to the previous generation Perforated bottom on the newly designed malt pipe allows for improved mash recirculation flow without sacrificing efficiency Element power percentage can be adjusted via the RAPT Controller. Go full power to heat up quickly, or dial it down so you don’t overshoot your strike water temp The built-in pump is plumbed to both the recirculation and arm and the bottom ball valve. Recirculate wort during your mash, then close the recirculation valve and pump wort to your fermenter via the bottom valve Pair with the RAPT-enabled Bluetooth Thermometer, allowing your BrewZilla to calculate a core mash temperature reading and more accurately control temperatures and mash steps More RAPT-enabled accessories are coming, and future firmware updates can be downloaded to the RAPT Controller itself over the internet WiFi/Bluetooth Enabled RAPT Controller The RAPT Controller is mounted to the top of the boiler body, allowing for easy operation when you have the unit set on the ground. The controller can be tilted upwards to give you an even better view, or it can be removed from the BrewZilla entirely if you’d prefer to mount the controller on your wall or lay it down on a workbench. From the controller, you’ll orchestrate your entire brew day. Program mash steps, dial in element power, and operate the integrated pump all from one screen. But the RAPT Controller is much more than a beautiful, full-color display switch board. Once synced to the RAPT Portal, you’ll be able to track, record and monitor your brews online. No need for handwriting notes or punching brew day details into your phone – all of the data from your brew is automatically logged to your portal profile. This information doesn’t just include your mash profile; it also captures detailed information about your element power and pump activity, opening the door for very precise repeatability. And the RAPT Portal isn’t just a digital archive for your brew days. With your BrewZilla powered on, you can control your brewery from virtually anywhere using your phone’s web browser. Not sure when you’ll be home from work or your kid’s ball game going into extra innings? No problem! Before you head out, simply log into the RAPT Portal from your phone and tell the BrewZilla to start heating your strike water. Along with remote control, the portal enables you to program alarms and push notifications for all of your boil additions. We’ve all been caught up with a side task and failed to throw in that yeast nutrient or clarifying agent at the end of the boil, but the BrewZilla has the back of even the most forgetful brewer! But wait, there’s more! In addition to WiFi connectivity, the RAPT Controller is also a Bluetooth gateway device. KegLand is currently developing various Bluetooth devices such as the Bluetooth Beacon Thermometer and other sensors which will be compatible with your brewery upon release. The RAPT Controller is able to receive information from Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) devices, adjusting its processes based on this new stream of information while simultaneously logging it to your RAPT Portal. With the Bluetooth Beacon Thermometer, for example, you’ll be able to feed temperature readings from the top of your mash bed to the controller. The controller will then compare this reading with the main temp probe reading at the base of the kettle and adjust element cycling based on these combined readings. Finally, the RAPT Controller WiFi connectivity allows you to update the controller’s firmware with a single click. Take advantage of new features and accessories as soon as they become available by simply keeping your BrewZilla connected to your local WiFi network. And again, the WiFi is already built-in! No need to come back for an expensive add-on accessory down the road. High Capacity Malt Pipe With an approximately 23.5 lb capacity, the BrewZilla can mash nearly 50% more grain than similar sized models of the Anvil Foundry and Grainfather G30. If you want to fill your fermenter with more than a 5-gallon batch worth of wort, or brew the highest gravity beer recipes, the BrewZilla is the brewhouse for the job. And the included malt pipe is just the beginning. If you want to expand your brewery’s grain capacity even further, KegLand makes Boiler Extension Kits and Extended Malt Pipes for that very purpose. The malt pipe features a perforated section at the bottom which improves mash recirculation flow without sacrificing efficiency. Concave Base with Center Draining Leave no wort behind! The concave base with center drain means you’ll be able to extract every last drop of wort to your fermenter. If you’ve brewed in a traditional flat bottom kettle, this center drain may be a bit perplexing at first. Many brewers are used to whirlpooling after the boil to pull hop matter into the center of the kettle, then transfer out using a pick-up tube that pulls from the kettle wall in order to avoid sucking up the solids. But fear not! One of the key features of the BrewZilla is the false bottom protection screen. This screen avoids the need for doing a whirlpool, filtering wort as it transfers and blocking more than 95% of hops and hot break from getting sucked into the pump. This not only prevents blocked pump issues, it also increases the efficiency of your brewhouse by eliminating kettle loss from wort that may have otherwise been left behind. Ultra Low Watt Density Elements The concave base on the BrewZilla also allowed for larger heating elements with significantly lower watt density than other breweries. When a lot of energy is coming off of a small element, the local temperature near the element can be so high that it scorches the wort and causes caramelization. Lower watt density essentially means you can produce lighter color beers that would otherwise have fallen victim to caramelization effect. It also reduces that chance of boilovers and reduces stress on the elements which extends their life expectancy. Easy Access Built-In Pump The built-in pump allows you to recirculate your wort during the mash for improved efficiency and more even temperature distribution. But it can also be used to transfer your wort from kettle to fermenter rather than relying on a gravity feed, and with the optional CIP Rotar, you can used the pump to clean your BrewZilla (or fermenter) after every use. During your brew day you’ll be able to control the pump from the RAPT Controller with a dedicated button for turning the pump on and off. Another feature you’ll find on the controller is adjusting the pump flow. This doesn’t control the actual volume of the flow (you can do that from the ball valve located on the recirculation arm), but rather cycles the pump on and off automatically based on your setting. At 100%, the pump remains on continuously. But at 80%, the pump will cycle to be on 80% of the time and off 20% of the time. This may not be a feature that every brewer thinks they need, but it’s an excellent way to avoid running the pump dry accidentally, as the time the pump is off allows recirculating wort to filter through the grain bed and back into the pump inlet. If you flip over the boiler, you’ll find the magnetic drive pump and all the plumbing is right at your fingertips. This means you don’t have to disassemble the base in order to access the pump for cleaning or maintenance if required. It also means the plumbing can be changed more easily too. For instance, the unit comes as standard with the plumbing from the pump feeding both the recirculation arm and the transfer valve, but you change this so the tap outlet bypasses the pump if you prefer. MoreBeer!'s Final Word We’ve been selling all-in-one brewing systems ever since they first hit the market, and we have to say that the Gen 4 BrewZilla is not only the most feature-packed unit ever made, it’s also offered at an incredibly competitive price point when compared to other systems. You’ll get all of the cutting edge Bluetooth technology you’d get with the Grainfather and at an exceptionally lower price tag. Plus, you get the WiFi capabilities as standard, rather than as a $100 add-on accessory. When it comes to mash recirculation, that’s yet another built-in feature on the BrewZilla, and the pump can also be used for transferring and CIP cleaning. The Foundry has a great starting price, but if you want to unlock its full potential, you’ll need to spend another $100 for the recirculation pump kit. What’s more, no other system in the same ‘weight class’ has the same grain capacity. And if the standard capacity isn’t quite enough, the BrewZilla can be easily upgraded with a Boiler Body Extension Kit and Extended Malt Pipe. When you purchase the BrewZilla, you can feel confident that you’re investing in a top shelf system and all of the critical features you’re expecting will be included. Perfect for Distillation If you want to expand your lineup of homemade libations to offer Spirits in addition to Ales & Lagers, the BrewZilla makes an excellent pot still! Add the Distillation Lid upgrade and pair it with an AlcoEngine Copper Reflux Condenser or Copper Pot Still Top. AlcoEngine Stills have been selling on the home market for years and offer some of the most affordable, beginner-friendly stills you'll find. KegLand Part Number: KL32766 Please note: due to patent restrictions in the United States, the malt pipe has been redesigned with one set of bottom feet. This model does not include the "two stage" malt pipe as advertised by KegLand and featured in previous MoreBeer! YouTube videos. Please Note: When removing the malt pipe to drain after mashing, it is important to do so slowly rather than in one swift pull. If the malt pipe is removed all at once when it is full of wort, it is possible for the draining wort to spray out and over the rim of the brewery through the perforated bottom. Remove the malt pipe slowly so that some of the wort can drain out before it is fully removed and set on its bottom feet. This can be done by hand on the 35L unit, but for the 65L and 100L units we highly recommend using the Pulley System for removing the malt pipe. Warning:  Do not engage the adjustable lid clamps when brewing with the BrewZilla's standard glass lid. The clamps are only intended to be used with distillation lids or other metal accessories. With too much tension, it is possible for the lid clamps to break the glass lid when engaged. Warning: If you are going to use an extension cord with the BrewZilla, you must ensure that the cord is the correct gauge and properly rated to suit the power requirements of your brewery. See the reference chart below for the recommended gauge based on your unit and the length of cord you wish to use.   35L (110V) 35L (220V) 65L (220V) 100L (220V) 10 ft. 14 Gauge 14 Gauge 12 Gauge 10 Gauge 25 ft. 14 Gauge 14 Gauge 12 Gauge 10 Gauge 50 ft. 12 Gauge 12 Gauge 10 Gauge 8 Gauge

Well then have we got the solution for you! These heavy duty plastic tanks offer a fantastic fermentation & storage solution at a great price. Key Features: Heavy duty HDPE construction is durable and resists oxygen transfer. None of the risks of working with glass. Small footprint and rectangular shape makes them easy to store - take better advantage of the space you have to dedicate to wine & beer making. Built-in handles make these tanks easy to move, even when full. Large lid opening makes them easy to clean by hand - say goodbye to your carboy brush! All ports seal with gaskets and the vessel can be fully sealed for long-term storage. Includes a spigot and oversized 2-piece Speidel airlock. Designed and manufactured in Germany by Speidel, the makers of our legendary commercial wine tanks 26"L x 18"W x 26"H, 11 lbs FAQ: Can filled containers be carried by the handles? Depending on the weight—barrels up to 30L are no problem—60L is the limit and should not be carried when completely full. The handles have a weight capacity of 30kg (66 lbs). Is there an upper limit on the alcohol content of the stored liquid? In principle, there is not. However, it should be noted that the higher the alcohol content, the faster the seals and, to a lesser extent, the tank itself will wear out. Up to what temperature can the containers be used? For short periods of time the containers can withstand temperatures of up to 80°C (176°F). This temperature should not be exceeded. For longer periods of time the containers can be used at temperatures up to 60°C (140°F).

  • Plate Filter Plate Filter

    Beer Filter - Plate Filter

    11 reviews

Filter beer like the pros, only on a smaller scale. Most small breweries and wineries use a large plate filter system to achieve clear beer or wine. Now you can do the same at home. Our new plate filter has a larger surface area, which means more yeast and particulate extraction. Each filtering session requires two filter pads at a time, and each pad must be the same micron to work. The product is pushed into the housing at 5 PSI and passes on either side of the plate filter housing, then gets forced through the filter pads to the center, where it is pushed out into your awaiting collection vessel, such as a keg or tank. Includes 2 X 24" long hoses (5/16" ID x 7/16" OD) Made from ABS plastic. Temperature rated to 167°F (75°C).

  • MaltZilla Motorized Grain Mill (24v) MaltZilla Motorized Grain Mill (24v)

MaltZilla Motorized Grain Mill w/ Premium Diamond Rollers

    4 reviews

KegLand put an exceptional amount of time into the research, testing, and development of the MaltZilla, and what they came up with is a motorized grain mill unlike anything we've seen before. It features an integrated motor so you'll never have to mess with a hand crank or power drill to spin the rollers. And the rollers themselves are made with a diamond-impregnated surface that offers superior performance and longevity compared to conventional knurled steel rollers. The integrated 24V motor is powerful enough to chew through popping corn kernels with ease, and works on voltages from 12-30V DC. The higher the voltage the faster the rollers spin, although we recommend 24V for optimum speed and grist results. The unit does not come with a power supply. When purchasing the unit, you have the option of pairing it with either a power supply with 110V plug (CAN111), or with a 6 ft. long cord with Anderson plug and alligator clips (CAN102). The power supply is straight forward, and allows you to plug the unit into a standard 110V power socket. The alligator clips give you the option to power the unit from a battery.   Knurled Steel vs. Diamond Coated Rollers Your run-of-the-mill grain mills are often manufactured with steel rollers with a knurled finish. The knurling helps grip and pull the grain through the rollers, but even the knurling on hardened steel will go blunt eventually and hinder the mill's performance. Some manufacturers attempt to solve this problem by using geared rollers to better grab the grain, or add a third roller to the mill so the first two rollers with a larger gap force the grain into the third roller. These are only workarounds to the real issue—all steel rollers will go blunt eventually, especially if used with hard grains like wheat or corn. In a commercial setting, it’s not uncommon to send the rollers off to a metalworking factory to re-sharpen and re-knurl, but this is an expensive, time-consuming hassle. Many homebrew-scale users might just end up throwing the mill away and purchasing a new one.   The MaltZilla Diamond Mill is quite a different mill design, and it’s the first in the world to use diamonds impregnated into the surface of the roller. Even after many tons of grain are processed through the mill, the diamond surface will stay just as sharp as it was on day one. The sharpness of the diamonds draws grain exceptionally well, and even when hard grains are used the diamond rollers won't dull or slip in performance.   Sheer Instead of Chop Most mills require aggressive knurling to push into the grain and “chop” the grain as it passes through a tight gap, which means your grains are often chopped in half. The MaltZilla works on a different principle and gap setting is not as critical.  The MaltZilla uses impregnated diamonds to grip the surface of the kernel and the friction of pulling the grain through the gap causes a sheering action. When set up correctly, the sheering action can leave the entire husk intact, reducing the chance of stuck sparge and improve efficiency, while still opening the husk enough that the entire contents of the kernel is available to the mashing process. The 70 mm diameter rollers are double the diameter of many other mills, which significantly improves the crush and assists in drawing the grain in more effectively.   Integrated Motor You generally would not purchase a car without an engine, so why would you purchase a grain mill without a motor? Milling grain has an optimum RPM— too slow and it will take you a long time, too fast and you will end up with excessive powder. Hand cranking can be a pain in the backside, especially with larger grain bills, and using a power drill doesn't offer much in the way of speed control and adds the potential risk of burning out your drill. The MaltZilla has an integrated motor with a very constant RPM putting out optimum RPM with an integrated gearbox. The high torque and sealed construction make it ideal for a brewing environment, as the motor is well protected from moisture and grain dust.   The motor is seamlessly integrated into the side body of the mill. Being DC, the motor is safer than higher voltage AC, especially in an environment where splashing and hose spray are commonplace. The DC motor is also reversible so the direction of spin can be changed based on the polarity. This is particularly useful for over-mount and under-mount installation.   Over-Mount and Under-Mount Installation Traditionally, homebrew mills just sit on a board where they are moved from one bucket to another. The MaltZilla has multiple different mounting configurations. It can be over-mounted to a board like most mills are, but if you want a seamless finish to your garage/brewing area, you can mount the mill under your counter where it’s concealed and out of the way. Simply lift up a small opening in the top of your benchtop, drop in your hopper, pour in grain and run the mill.  When you're done, remove the hopper and conceal the opening.   There is also a MaltZilla PPE Base Board available for over the bucket installation or designing your own mill stand.   Grain Hopper This unit does not come with a grain hopper. We recommend using a large funnel with a shortened spout, or a repurposed gallon-sized water bottle. The MaltZilla Aluminum Hopper is currently in development and available for pre-order.   Specifications: Power: 12-30V DC Anderson Connector Plug Grain Inlet ID: 2-3/16" Grain Inlet OD: 2-3/8" Weight: 11 lbs KegLand Part Number: KL15776 Please note: This mill is designed for use with brewing grains only. It will not work for cracking whole kernel corn.

    DigiMash Electric Brewing System | Gen 2 DigiBoil | 35L | 9.25G | 220V

    2 reviews

The Gen 2 DigiBoil features two distinct updates that are not currently pictured in the primary images. The stainless steel lid has been upgraded to a glass lid, allowing you to observe and monitor boil activity. The rubber feet have been replaced with a plastic base that provides improved stability and slightly raises the unit for better ground clearance. Updated images coming soon. The most affordable all-in-one automated all-grain brewing system! Mash grains and boil wort in a single vessel DigiBoil electric kettle automatically maintains mash temperatures with the digital controller Dual heating elements combine for 2400W of power Also available with optional Recirculation Pump Kit! The DigiMash system represents the best value in electric all-grain brewing you'll find. With a 9-gallon DigiBoil electric kettle and the DigiMash stainless steel mashing accessory pack included, this is by far the most affordable way to get into electric all-grain brewing. It may not have all the bells and whistles of the BrewZilla, but it does have everything you need to mash and boil all in one unit. Setting up and using the DigiMash couldn't be easier. Simply place the false bottom inside the kettle and install the malt pipe, fill with water and heat to your desired strike temperature, then add your grain and set your desired mash temperature on the digital controller. Once your mash is complete, lift up the malt pipe, drain the wort and sparge, then remove the malt pipe and proceed to boil. If you're deciding between the DigiMash and the BrewZilla, there are a couple of key differences worth noting. One of our favorite features of the BrewZilla is the programmable mash steps and delayed start, which the DigiMash does not have. You can still step mash by simply raising the temperature manually on the controller, but the automatic steps are a convenient feature if you want to set it and forget it. The other major difference between the two systems is that the BrewZilla features a built-in pump for recirculating the mash. Recirculation is a great way to improve mash efficiency, but it is far from required for a successful brew day. Using an external pump with the DigiMash is also an option, and one can be integrated for mash recirculation quite easily. Simply connect the ball valve to the inlet of your pump, and then connect the outlet of the pump to our Sparge Arm Assembly. This model comes with the 35L DigiBoil, which has two built-in heating elements that run off a 220V plug. One element is 1900w and the other is 500w for a combined 2400 watts! The elements can be individually controlled, allowing you to use a single element to gently hold temperatures, or engage both elements to quickly go from mash temp to boiling. Temperatures are set and automatically maintained through the digital control panel. Simply set your desired temperature and flip on the heating element(s). If you have access to 220V power, this is definitely the unit we recommend. Although 110V power is enough to get up to boil, 220V will get you there faster and provide a much more vigorous boil. Integrated stainless ball valve comes with a 13mm barb (approx. 1/2"). The barb can be removed to attach fittings with 1/2" FPT, such as our female threaded quick disconnect. • Ss Brewtech - Motorized Grain Mill Ss Brewtech - Motorized Grain Mill

    Ss Brewtech Grain Mill

    6 reviews

The Ss Grain Mill sports an all-in-one design, featuring a hi-torque DC motor combined with a leveraged gear reduction system that drives a series of billet aluminum pulleys and high inertia rollers that make easy work of the toughest wheat and rye malts — Capable of up to 350 lb/h  Differential Speed Rollers Dating back to the early days of craft brewing, feed mills were often repurposed in breweries due to the lack of availability of milling equipment designed specifically for processing malt in brewing applications.  Conversely, in a home brew settling, corona mills, and other repurposed mill designs intentioned for processing raw grain in a home kitchen were adopted for their ease and accessibility.   Naturally, if you're feeding livestock or making grits, you typically want to pulverize the grain.  However, if you're brewing beer it’s preferable to crack the endosperm in several places and then sheer off the husk, keeping it mostly intact.  This shearing and crushing action maximizes both efficiency and lautering performance, reducing or eliminating the need for rice hulls or other lautering aids. The two rollers inside the Ss Grain Mill are both driven by the onboard motor, but designed to rotate at different speeds. This key feature is at the heart of our purpose built mill designed for home and pro brewing.   Machined Fluted Stainless Steel Rollers Other mills that are designed to pulverize grain, often rely on hardened steel knurled rollers to extend their usable life.  The shearing action of the Ss Grain Mill places less stress on the roller to effectively process the grain. We settled on the more professional approach of fluting the rollers, which enhances the ability for the two rollers to engage the malt and effectively shear the husk from the endosperm.  It was also important to us that this mill be functional in either a home or pro-environment, so we decided to cast the rollers in solid 304 stainless steel, with each roller weighing a robust 7.5 lbs.   Furthermore, the profile of the rollers has been completely rethought.  Most small mills rely on a wide processing envelope and a small, 1.5-2” diameter roller.  We have emulated the design of large production mills, and increased the diameter of the roller to 4”, and narrowed the processing envelope.  This design increases the rotating mass, and stores rotational energy, which ultimately helps to smooth abrupt changes in rotational speed.  Furthermore, the entrance angle is less aggressive with a larger roller, resulting in additional mechanical advantage.   Precision Gap Adjustment Eleven points of adjustment ranging from 0.5mm to 2.0mm open up a wide range of malt products. Gap adjustments are tool-less and can be made without any disassembly, or complicated procedures.   Extruded Aluminum Chassis The two piece extruded 6061 aluminum chassis promotes structural rigidity resulting in a more precise degree of roller alignment.  This is important to retaining consistent roller gap settings from batch-to-batch. Furthermore, the two-piece construction isolates the motor and rollers in separate chambers, preventing the motor and drivetrain from accumulating dust and debris. All rotational pulleys, and rollers have their own dedicated fully sealed ball bearings for low drag and long life.   25 lb. Hopper Capacity  The Ss Mill will include a custom tooled 4mm thick ABS hopper that is both structurally strong and lightweight. Designed to hold up to 25 lbs. of grain at a time, the Ss Grain Mill has been clocked in prototype testing at processing roughly 350 lbs. per hour of barley malt.  Which is roughly a 50 lb. sack every 8 mins, making it perfect for batch sizes from 5 gallons to 5 BBLs.   Features: All-In-One Design Differential Speed Rollers Machined Fluted Stainless Steel Rollers Precision Gap Adjustment Extruded Aluminum Chassis Specs: 350 lb/h 25 lb Hopper 0.5 - 2.0mm Gap Range 18" Width x 19.5" Height x 9" Depth Plugs into standard 110 volt wall socket.
