Description

BevBright's™ filters are disposable, multi-zoned, cartridge style filters perfect for filtering beer with any standard 10" filter cartridge housing.  BevBright™ achieves superior efficiency by being the first to spin different diameters of poly strands on the same core to create zones. The zone closest to the core contains consistent, tight fibers for final filtration while the final outer layer zone is spun with larger fibers for increased dirt holding capacity and increased flow capacity. The best of both worlds. By comparison typical spun poly water filters are spun with only one size of fiber.

90% High Efficiency Filter Rating
BevBright's line of High Efficiency beverage filters remove 90% of particles at the stated micron rating. These filters will offer the largest flow through capacity, allowing you to often filter multiple kegs with one filter, but might let a little sediment get through. They are a terffic bargain and still better than any off the shelf hardware store spun poly filters (which normally only filter out 60-80% of the material in one pass). Looking for a slightly higher efficiency filter - see BevBright's Super High Efficiency (98%) or Absolute (99.8%) rated filters.

What Micron Rating is Right For Me?
It depends. Most yeast will be filtered out with a 5 micron filter, while even more will be filtered out with a 3 micron filter. A 1 micron filter removes most all yeast at the High Efficiency rating.  If you have dirty, just fermented beer we recommend you try a 5 micron filter. Looking for crystal clear clarity for a beer that has been stored cold - try the 1 Micron.

A tad clear
Not that good.. it got rid of most of the yeast but not the chill haze particles and smaller proteins. My pre-chilled beer didn’t come out crystal clear like a commercial beer. i’d shoot for 0.5microns or 0.45m filter next time but maybe it won’t be necessary. I’d consider adding some kind of insoluble clarifier when chilling then filter beer with 1 micron filter. That would be cost effectively a better choice. Anyway I regret that I bought 3 and 5 micron filters together. Now what would they filter? A big chunk of meat? Btw I used super high efficiency 1 micron so probably I’d recommend absolute rated 1 micron instead for whoever wants clear beer.

Response from MoreFlavor
Thank you so much for your feedback. We are sorry to hear that the filter didn't do everything possible to help clarify your beer. The smaller micron filters will definitely work to get your beer crystal clear. We do recommend the 3 and 5 to start just so that the smaller filters won't clog as quickly, but not every batch or brewer will need to start with those depending on your process and clarity before filtering.

We really appreciate the honesty and value great feedback like this as it helps us improve our products. Cheers!

Nice element
It worked well. Just chill the beer first, I put a couple PSI of co2 on the keg just to keep o2 out while crashing, then increased it as needed to transfer with no foam.

Works well
Depending on who you believe, 1 micron nominal will remove somewhere around 80 - 95% of the yeast and a host of other crud, giving a nice clear beer. People say you should use a 3 micron filter first. I don't bother with that since I don't have much gunk in my brews - never had clogging problems.

Really clear
Super clear ability! As others noted you might want to cold crash or filter using larger micron prior to running through this filter.

works well, but pricy
This filter works as advertised, but I buy mine in bulk to save some money. If you just need one in a pinch this will do the trick.

These filters work well for all the beers I filter. They are high quality and the result is always a crystal clear beer. I highly recommend.

Worked well
Make sure to use the 3 micron first to make sure you don't clog this one to fast.

Good Filter for Hoppy and Dry Hopped beers
I use this filter to filter my hoppy beers, as it won't strip all of those great hop aroma and flavers out of the beer.
