Ok beer, poor packaging
Beer turned out ok. But was a little disappointed in the packaging of the grains. All grains were packed separately, except the carafa which was packaged in a separate plastic bag with all the hops. As such, i didn't realize i had missed the carafa until i was at boiling temp. I obviously take some blame for this, I should have laid everything out. But not sure why you would package one small bag of grain with all of the hops. Wrnt ahead and brewed without it, but may have been better with it.

Great, smooth porter
For me, this is a great beer. Bitterness, roast, acridity are all subdued, allowing coffee and chocolate to emerge. Not overly sweet at all. Just smooth. Like a chocolate shake, with a full brown head, deep brown color, but finishes without any real residual sweetness.
If you are looking for a porter kit, try it!

My Favorite New Porter
I was looking for a good porter all grain recipe kit to brew for my winter beer. This one caught my eye, so I thought I would give it a try. I brewed this kit in early December. After a ten-day primary fermentation, I decided to split the batch into two separate secondary fermenters. I let the first one go for two weeks and kegged it. In the other half, I added one vanilla bean and one package of toasted coconut. Both halves of this beer turned out great. The plan Robo Porter has a deep chocolate and coffee taste. The second half has a subtle coconut and vanilla taste that gets stronger as the beer warms in the glass. It is also more mellow tasting than the plain porter. I will definitely brew this kit again. Next time, I will add more coconut.

Coffeesque Robust porter Thumbs up
Almost taste like cold brewed coffee carbonated in a good way.. Good roasty notes dark chocolate. You get bitterness from the dark Malts. I wonder what midnight wheat would do to it, round it out maybe? The hops
Provided did not provide the alpha acids needed in the recipe although the weight was correct. I would
Buy it again because overall it was a good brew.

First Ale on Grainfather
Had so many screw ups my fault, after corrections for making this first attempt it came out mighty fine. I really like it and would not hesitate to brew it again. Having just been on a trip where I could try different Brewpubs which where good, but I really like this ale better then some of the ones I tried on my trip. Robo has just enough hops to give it a good to great feel. The name is a tad amusing though.

5+ Stars for this one
Where are the reviews on this one? Love Porters and Stouts and this one is money. Never before have I been tempted to finish a keg before the beer was carbonated, until this.
