Has anyone used this in an Session or a Pale Ale? Suggestions would be appreciated. THANKS!
Chad Gutierrez on May 18, 2019
BEST ANSWER: I have used it for a pale ale and added it during the last five minutes of the boil after first placing the jar in a metal pan of hot water for 5 minutes to heat the syrup up a bit so that it flows more easily out of the jar when you pour it into the brew kettle. It creates a good ginger flavor which enhances the flavor of the Perle hops that are added at 60 minutes and 15 minutes..
Can anyone else comment on the amount they used per volume of beer and how strong the taste is? Thanks

BEST ANSWER: I put two jars into a Belgian Tripel (that had only light pilsen LME, Hallertau & Styrian Golding hops, and coriander as other ingredients). It came out just under 5 gallons of volume. The flavor is excellent - it's the dominant characteristic of the beer now, but it's not overly cloying/spicy/etc. My wife loves it, I'll definitely be repeating in the future.
Will this work with a wheat beer for a ginger wheat? And if so...when do i add it, and how much for a 5 gallon batch?
william grady on Oct 27, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Hello William - We typically recommend one container for a 5 gallon batch. Adding to the fermenter provides the most flavor, while adding near the end of the boil is more subtle.

I added this to a Saison. Very nice addition, not overly spicy, but still noticeable. The beer turn out very good. I will be making this again in the near future.

The safety wrapper had disentigrateted and the product was sticky. I was hesitant to add it to my beer but figured that since it was post fermentation, it would be okay. I’m not sure if this was cascade candi syrup’s fault or more beer’s fault.

great flavor
I used this product, the whole jar in a 5.5 gallon batch of a Belgian Triple, everyone raved about it, so much so that a guy I brew for wants it on tap at his place on a consistent basis. Give it a try you won't be disappointed, it adds just enough subtle ginger flavor.

I really like this stuff.
I added this to a blonde ale and called it a Blonde Thai. It really made the beer much better.

If you havent tried it yet you're missing out
I LOOOOOOOOOOOVE this stuff! It brings out something incredibly unique to my beer that many people can't figure out until i tell them what's in it. So far i have no complaints and neither do any of the people who enjoy my brew.
